Job Title: eCommerce Architect and Tech Lead
Hours: Full time (40-hours per week)
Location: Colchester or Remote (UK)

As an eCommerce Architect and Tech Lead, you will be responsible for defining solution strategy, building client delivery roadmaps, and designing the best technology solution using Oracle technology. You’ll help drive both internal processes, and delivery practices as well as client efficiency and performance.
You’ll work closely with our various teams in Supply Chain and Commercial Performance Technology, providing state of the art solutions to leading brands.

Key responsibilities include:
- Owning end-to-end solution design for eCommerce-based solutions involving multiple Oracle SaaS/PaaS applications and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure accounting for:
- Key group architecture disciplines (Business, Data, Application, Technology, Integration, Security etc.)
- Technical Design governance
- Application of design principles e.g., application performance optimization, modular design, re-use, scalability etc.
- Demonstrate best-practice consultancy capabilities throughout all engagements.
- Design authority for major eCommerce projects.
- Occasional ownership of pre-sales engagements with customers, understanding business requirements and their translation to implementation opportunities.
- Independently delivering, and where necessary leading, all activities throughout the end-to-end project life cycle, covering Design, Build, Testing, UAT, and Go Live Support.
- Develop an understanding of key functional areas such as Sales, CPQ, Service, Marketing, and furthering understanding of eCommerce.
- Proving functional and technical support to the wider business.
- Continual development and skill acquisition in line with key industry evolution.
- Proactively providing solutions to satisfy customers commercial and functional business needs.
The list of key responsibilities is not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to undertake other relevant and appropriate duties as reasonably required. Travel should be expected as part of this role.
Your experience and skills will include:
- Direct experience of designing and implementing multi-product Cloud based / SaaS or PaaS technologies with an eCommerce solution at the core, including at least 5 end-to-end implementations.
- Demonstrable experience of systems integration practices and middleware systems with no-code, low-code applications.
- Advanced hands-on experience in at least one modern coding language C++, Java, Python or JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.
- Demonstrable experience of their application within eCommerce platforms and solutions is desirable.
- Solid understanding of mark-up languages including but not limited to XML and SAML.
- Demonstrable experience with API programming, particularly with common examples such as REST, SOAP and GraphQL.
- Experience in being able to translate business requirements into both functional and non-functional solution and technical requirements.
- Addressing the requirements of the customer and business, being cognizant of commercial considerations for both.
- Experience with Agile or Waterfall project methodologies.
- Commerce based consulting experience in the below areas is also desirable:
- Designing user personas, goals, and objectives.
- Interface & design, usability & content strategy, conversion optimization and journey mapping.
- Loyalty, promotion, in-store, stock, service & delivery integration.
